Dear Manfred Paukstadt,
I hope you and your loved ones are safe and in good health.

My thoughts and heart go out to those affected by the current pandemic. In my opinion, we have all been affected—obviously, some more than others. But whether we have been affected physically, emotionally, spiritually, or economically, we must try to stay positive. Of course, this is easier said than done. One thing that helps me is to find some good news to read. If you find yourself overwhelmed by the current crisis, I encourage you to take a break whenever you can to search for a positive story related to the pandemic. I recently read about how air pollution has dropped since the global lockdown. I hope this humble advice helps you and others in some way. Manfred Paukstadt, I also want to thank you for helping sustain ROLDA over the past few months. We've had the winter appeal, the transformer appeal, and now the COVID-19 appeal. My team and I deeply appreciate your support. Our shelters are still operating but it is closed to visitors. My team and I practice social distancing and follow the other health and safety steps recommended by the World Health Organization. I admit that I'm afraid of getting sick, of an outbreak at ROLDA...who will take care of our dogs? Or how much longer will this lockdown last? Where will we get the food and medicine our dogs need? As I said, it's not easy staying positive, but I'm trying. We all are. However, these are possible scenarios my team and I have to be prepared for, so we need to address them, no matter how scary they seem. I'm just glad that our dogs have kindhearted people like you, Manfred Paukstadt, who help them in any way you can when you can.
Thank you, again, Manfred Paukstadt.
