The European Parliament is voting on the Common Agriculture Policy tomorrow.

Hi Manfred,
We need your voice now. The European Parliament is voting on the Common Agriculture Policy tomorrow.
The European Parliament is discussing how EU agriculture subsidies should be spent. A whopping 40% of the EU-budget is spent on agriculture. This is roughly 114 euros per citizen.  This huge agricultural budget is called the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). It decides how sustainably your food is produced, how fairly subsidies are distributed amongst farmers and how well animals are treated.
The problem is that the current CAP doesn't deliver on any of this: it gives subsidies to farmers based on how much land they own with very limited conditionality. Big farms and large landowners win out over smaller farms. It also fails to encourage more sustainable environmentally friendly farming, disregarding climate change, the loss of biodiversity and the degradation of soils.  But you can change this by having a say on how money should be spent on CAP.
We clearly need a change and we need your voice. We made a citizen's platform along with the European Greens to tell the European Parliament how YOU think CAP money should be spent. Right now, CAP Reform discussions are taking place right without your voice. With this platform, the European Greens want to include it. Tell them how we Tilt members want to push for a fairer and more sustainable Europe that works for everyone.
Take this unique opportunity now and let us know what your priorities for the CAP Reform are.
