Manfred – I've got an important campaign update for you: We're trying to get a meeting with the Director of Volkswagen UK so we can press him to finally set a diesel phase out date – but he keeps dodging our requests. If we all publicly call on the Director of VW UK to meet with us, it will be much harder for him to refuse. So if you've got a spare second, please sign the petition. So far, 120,000 of us have called on VW to ditch diesel because it's making our air dangerous to breathe (thanks a tonne for being part of this campaign). [1] But the car giant still hasn't responded. The longer VW hold on to diesel, the longer our health will be put at risk – so it's time to take a more direct approach. If we can sit down with the Director of VW UK, there are two important things we can do. (1) We can bring our concerns about the health impacts of diesel straight to the top of the company and (2) we can press him to set a diesel phase out date. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Diesel is really harmful to human health and doctors are telling us to get it off our roads.
Big car companies like Fiat Chrysler are doing the right thing and ditching diesel. But VW, who make more diesel cars than anyone else, have so far tried to avoid the issue.
