Dear chess friend,
A few weeks ago we launched the
chess24 apps for iOS and Android. We’d like to introduce them here to anyone who
hasn’t yet tried them, while also announcing our latest update: broadcasts are
now included, so you can follow major chess events live on your phone – for
instance, Magnus Carlsen and co. in the Norway Chess super tournament.
Where can I find the apps?
The Android and iOS apps can be downloaded now from Google Play or the App
Store. The following QR codes will take you directly to the appropriate
store:

Or
you can click on the following buttons:
What can the apps do?
The apps give you full access to the Playzone, so you can play against
chess24 members all around the world. Alternatively, you can take on our
computer opponents Kevin, Claudia and Don Hugo, even without an internet
connection. Games you play are stored and can be analysed immediately with the
help of a chess computer (engine) and an opening tree, while the apps also open
PGN files. Another feature is the Tactics Trainer, so you can brush up on your
chess skills whenever you have a moment to spare!
New! Live
broadcasts
The latest versions of the chess24 apps feature live
broadcasts, so you can check out the state of play in top tournaments at any
moment – all in real time!

The last two rounds of Norway Chess start on the
12th and 13th June at 15:30 and 14:30 CET - a perfect opportunity to try out the
live broadcast of the moves in the apps! You can also take a look at all the
previous games at any time of the day or night.
All the best, the
chess24 team |
