Hello my dear chess friends,
I was so
happy to get an email today from Stein in Norway with the message: “I visited
Moscow many years ago, and played chess with a little girl sitting on the
streetside. I think the little girl was you. You won easy. I send you a picture
of the girl. It was you, yes?” – Yes it was!! I think it was late 1991 or early
1992, when I was only 7 or 8 years old, and I was practicing and earning some
pocket money playing people in Moscow. So nice to see that great photo of me. So
an enormous thanks goes to Stein in Oslo, you made my day!
And for
everyone out there: remember to have a dream, and spare no effort in trying to
realize it. After all, you may be successful.
Best chess wishes to
you, Alexandra Kosteniuk 12th women's world chess champion |
